I am the IT manager as well as the NOC admin for the Eko-Konnect project. My responsibility is to build and manage the Eko-konnect project which invloves connecting all HEIs in Lagos to a Research and Education Network(REN). I also support the UNILAG network This Eko-konnect project is already running and part of the task is to design and implement its security policy and eventual connection to Eduroam. A brief description of your computing and networking environment (operating systems, networking software, modems, etc.), including the connectivity of your organization to the Internet and your country's connectivity to the international Internet* ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Eko-konnect NOC is located in UNilag. All the servers are based on unix and linux. We are multihoming with two ISPs where we get Internet connectivity via terrestrial and vsat fro the two providers. The campus has installed several cisco routers and switches for providing network services to the community. The NOC is also connected to the Google University Access programme (GUAP) which also offers bandwidth support to the University. The NOC also has a connection to Nigeria Internet Exchange Point(NIXP), where we are peering with other organizations.
